No matter your background or experience, you can train to be a qualified Electrician at Energy Technical Academy!

Who is this programme for?

This course is suitable for anyone aged 16 or over looking to start a career as an electrician. It's aimed at those with some prior experience in the industry looking to embark on a new career path, but this is not essential! Candidates should be looking to build a solid understanding of the core principles of electrical safety and gain the qualifications needed to work independently. You will learn the theoretical understanding and practical skills necessary to be a confident workforce member or start your own business!

An Entry Level Route is available for those without industry experience looking to start a new career!

We offer daytime and evening options for this course so that you can undertake your training at a time suitable for your circumstances.

Pre-requisites

Ideal candidates should have some prior learning/experience, but this is not essential. There is an Entry Level Route available for those with no industry experience!

Applicants must be 16 or over.

Course structure and Assesment method

We have both full-time and part-time options for this course:

Day Managed Learning Programme (This Course)

Candidates are expected to attend our Kirkintilloch Centre for theory and practical learning from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 3 pm.

There will also be at-home learning and assessments hosted online to allow you to further develop your understanding in your own time.

You will gain priceless in-the-field experience with an 8-week placement arranged by Energy Technical Academy to help you build a portfolio of work.

After completing the course, you can continue building your portfolio with us for 18 months to gain your supervisors' qualification at no extra charge!

Evening Managed Learning Programme

Candidates are expected to attend our Kirkintilloch Centre on the following schedule for valuable in-person practical and theory learning:

  • 2 evenings per week, 6 pm to 9 pm.
  • Occasional Saturdays, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Part-time students will still receive in-the-field experience with an 8-week placement arranged by Energy Technical Academy to help you build a portfolio of work.

After completing the course, you can continue building your portfolio with us for 18 months to gain your supervisors' qualification at no extra charge!

Costs

For this course, we offer a flexible and interest-free monthly instalment payment option.

Both full and part-time options are booked by securing your place with a £500 deposit.
