Qualification Details Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations
Programme description
This regulated qualification is for learners who wish to demonstrate their knowledge in the Initial Verification and Testing of electrical installation systems in the UK.
The qualification is based primarily on BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and IET Guidance Note 3.
This Regulated qualification is part of a suite of electrical qualifications, including 18th Edition, Periodic Inspection (Condition Reporting) and a combined Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection (Condition Reporting) qualification.

This course is for those working within the electrical or related industry with knowledge of electrical theory and looking to prove their competency or refresh their skills.

Pre-requisites
There are no formal pre-requisites to this qualification but it is recommended that learners should have suitable knowledge of electrical theory and ideally be working within the electrical or a related industry.
Applicants must be 16 or over.
Course structure and Assesment method
We offer this 3-day course on a standalone basis,or it can be combined with periodic inspection and testing and condition reporting to complete the full 5 day course. The 3-day course is run in our Kirkintilloch training center, from 9am till 4:30pm.
