Qualification Details Installation and Maintenance of Solar Photovoltaic Systems
Programme description
This course will give you the skills and knowledge to install and maintain Solar Photovoltaic panels. It's LCL Awards Level 3 accredited, and successful students will become fully certified to install and maintain Solar PV systems in the field.
We often run this course in tandem with our Battery Storage course as a 5-day combined course to give you the best possible qualifications to work on Solar PV systems in one concise package.
Who is this programme for?
This course is designed for anyone who's already a qualified electrician looking to upskill and add Solar Photovoltaic systems to their list of services. Prior certification and experience is required for this course.
Qualifications awarded
Learners will gain the following industry-recognised qualification:
- Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems
Pre-requisites
This course requires previous industry experience and training. Applicants should have experience in electrical installations in domestic and/or non-domestic commercial premises and must also hold the following qualifications before applying:
- Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations
- Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671 (current edition)
