Programme description
This course combines our Battery Storage and Solar PV courses into one 5-day course to get you fully certified in installing and maintaining Solar PV-based renewable energy storage systems.
Battery Storage Course
The qualification has been designed in conjunction with the latest IET Code of Practice and is recognised by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). You will study to achieve an LCL Awards Level 3 Award in the Design, Installation and Commissioning of Electrical Energy Storage Systems.
Solar PV Course
This course will give you the skills and knowledge to install and maintain Solar Photovoltaic panels. It's LCL Awards Level 3 accredited, and successful students will become fully certified to install and maintain Solar PV systems in the field. You will achieve LCL Awards Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems
Who is this programme for?
This course is designed for anyone who's already a qualified electrician looking to upskill and add Solar Photovoltaic and Battery Storage to their list of services.
Qualifications awarded
Learners will gain the following industry-recognised qualifications:
- LCL Awards Level 3 Award in the Design, Installation and Commissioning of Electrical Energy Storage Systems
- Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems
Pre-requisites
This course requires previous industry experience and training. Applicants must complete their 18th Edition qualification and Initial Verifications before commencing this course.

Note: this course can be customised to include extra qualifications depending on your requirements - and these extras will cost more than the basic Solar PV + Battery Storage combination.
